A study was conducted on 60 data mining agencies in the country in order to find out challenges and solutions for quality data generation. The findings were used to create a national level dialogue engaging all stakeholders. In parallel to the study carried out an awareness and promoting data usage for decision making was done in different levels, with several tailor-made programs and activities targeting government institutions, school children, general public and media to build capacity to access, utilize and interpret data in order to adopt and align with sustainable environmental benefits and disaster risk reduction. It also acted as a driving force for data agencies to produce quality data that could benefit the society. At the end of the project, Fusion received a “Satisfactory rating” from UNDP for its outstanding implementation.
