Technology is transforming our society and economy at an exceptional rate. Lack of access to digital skills and computer science education has created an income gap between the skilled and unskilled. This day was aimed at creating ‘Future Educators’, Future Innovators’ and ‘Future Coders’. Going beyond in-class experience and connect with real world concepts, Future Innovators aged 13 – 16, were given a training on Micro:bit, a group of educators were introduced to Microsoft Innovation Educator Expert program to go beyond the conventional teaching methods, and students from underserved communities, aged 10-13 were encouraged to pursue computer science through an ‘Hour of Code’ session.
