This project is closely aligned with ministries’ plan to train urban and semi-rural youth for jobs of the future. A couple of short-term outcomes include getting pre-career youth thinking about jobs that don’t yet exist and enabling them to acquire skills to help them become future-ready. In addition to contributing to government priorities, the grant will also look at ways to support Microsoft’s Public Sector business by aligning to the government’s overall plans to provide skills to citizens for the 20,000 jobs that will become available with the new port city project to be completed in 2020.
